So for the past 6 years I’ve been blessed with the most amazing sunsets in all of Los Angeles. My new place is just as incredible, but at the start of the day instead of the end. I’ve seen some of the most beautiful sunrises since I’ve moved to Topanga a couple weeks ago. It’s hard to miss them as the sun pokes its head over the mountain right outside my bedroom window:
After weeks of cut throat negotiation, stress, excitement, wonder, confusion and a touch of remorse, I will finally be moving into my new place in Topanga this weekend! I’m on a six month lease while I try to secure a loan to eventually put in an offer and hopefully buy the place.
My PODS storage container was delivered this morning and I start moving stuff into storage tomorrow. I will be taking a handful of boxes with me over to the new place, but most everything will be tucked safely away in a storage unit that I will probably never even see in the heart of beautiful south central los angeles. I opted for the insurance just in case. =) I don’t want to get too settled in just yet because I could end up moving out in 6 months if things don’t work out.

With much anticipation, Jamie and I launched a refresh of her photography website that hasn’t been changed in almost three and a half years. We’ve updated the look and feel and added used Slideshow Pro to allow her to add photos, galleries, and rearrange her portfolio in real time using a the robust content management system called Slideshow Pro Director.

It’s hard to believe that the crystal clear turquoise water I’m about to jump into is found just 30 miles off the coast of Los Angeles! From the deck of our boat we could see the bottom 20 feet down, along with the wildlife swimming under us – 4 foot long Leopard Sharks and Sting Rays of the same width to name a few. I sailed with a few of my buddies to Catalina Island again this weekend and had a great time snorkeling and exploring the cove called Emerald Bay where we moored the boat.

Our phones don’t work because of congestion, so no point in trying to call me. I didn’t even feel it. I was at the gym working out and I looked up and everyone was walking to the door. I asked someone what was going on and they said “didn’t you feel that earthquake? it lasted for almost a minute!”. Nope.
